Description

This took too long. Though I do indeed like the product.

Used Paint tool SAI again. I technically have much better software like Illustrator and Photoshop, but no idea how to use them. One day I'll learn.

Took maybe 7 hours, give or take a few. I don't recall.

I don't think I'll give this one away.

Feartakyuubi has just shown skills!
In the last days I criticized your "outlines". And this time you cut them out. The sketch is invisible.

The first time I saw this drawing (small preview picture) I thought about a photography. But when I took a look on the fullview picture I saw a great work. A quite realistic portrait with a perfect image formation. I guess you implemented my other critique. It's nice too see that you work on yourself. Of course you showed this in your other drawings too. You advance your skills step by step.

When I take a look at the coloration of the hair I see that it looks very soft. Did you use a reference for the hairstyle? I guess this one is really difficult to draw but you did an awesome job on it. The skin and the lips look soft and realistic too. The eyes look strict and clear. The small hairs of the eyebrow look fantastic but there's one point that confuses me. Her right eyebrow (on the left from her point of view). In my opinion it's position is too low. You'd better gave it space between the eye and the eyebrow. There's still the eyelid crease which needs space.

Another confusing aspect is the strict transition between the different layers: Skin/Face - Hair - Background.
The transition at the forehead is successful, but at the other edges it isn't. Some hairs should have overlaid the skin and the background. Such hairstyles are strict but they need soft edges for the realistic vision.

I hope you understand what I want to say to you.

You did a great job on this drawing and you also include the points I introduced in my last journal critique.

Thank you for sharing this drawing with us!

Yours, Miri
